Volunteers

Volunteers are a valuable asset to our educational programs and our students here at Veterans Park Academy for the Arts.  We welcome parents, grandparents, and neighbors to join our volunteer program.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please talk to our office, your child’s teacher or an administrator.  

Babies, toddlers and preschoolers may not accompany a volunteer in the classroom during the instructional day as this creates a distraction for students.

There are many ways you can volunteer here are just a few:

• Reading with Students – reading aloud with the students and ask questions on the content
• Classroom Activities – assists students in the classroom during independent station times 
• Media Center – shelving books, helping students find books 
• Special Events – AR Celebrations, Picture Day, Story Book Parade, Book Fair, and many more
• Support – clerical duties, filing, counting flyers, counting, sharpening pencils etc.
