After analyzing the data, the students brainstormed a list of suggestions for how to keep our campus clean...

1.      place recycle bins around campus – especially for water bottles

2.      more trash cans

3.      volunteers (students) to clean up

4.      wider trash cans

5.      no littering signs

6.      patrols to watch for litterbugs

7.      recycling box in the classrooms

8.      each grade take a turn in cleaning up the campus monthly

9.      just pick up after ourselves

10.  fines

11.  ask parents/visitors not to smoke on our campus – not even in the parking lot

12.  put up no smoking signs at the entrance of school

13.  make campus cleanup an elective

14.  rewards for cleaning up – no uniform day

15.  have one class each day be responsible for cleaning up designated areas

16.  more trash cans in the middle school area

17.  no food or trash allowed out of the cafes

18.  signs reminding everyone to throw away their trash

19.  use cameras to catch people littering

20.  parents in pick up line should be reminded not to smoke on our campus

21.  colored trash cans – easier to see

We will be working with our administration, student body and staff to implement some of these suggestions during the coming school year. In the meantime, please do your part and help us keep the school clean! Thanks.
